Phrase matching:
Use quotes around phrases that are supposed to be matched in the exact same order. Example: search for Bach's BWV 3 Cantata: 
bach bwv 3      ---> 417 hits (Bach was born in March so 
                     all his compositions have the number "3" 
                     in the search index)
bach "bwv 3"    ---> 1 hit


Data formats:
The following keywords will match to a particular type of data: 
   print   =  all printable scores
   humdrum =  all humdrum translations of MuseData encodings
   MIDI    =  any type of MIDI file 
   MIDI1   =  MIDI file for listening to
   MIDIp   =  MIDI file for printing applications
   MIDIk   =  MIDI file created from Humdrum files containing kern data
   stage2  =  all complete MuseData encodings
   stage1  =  all incomplete MuseData encodings
